Mike is a Principal of Gofen and Glossberg and has been with the firm since 2018. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-
Champaign with a B.S. in Accounting. Prior to joining Gofen and Glossberg, Mike was an Assistant Vice President at Fort Washington Investment Advisors and a Senior Analyst at Talon Asset Management.
Jim is a Principal of Gofen and Glossberg and has been with the firm since 1984. He received an A.B. from Occidental College and a Master’s of Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard
University. Jim is a former Officer and Director of the Orthopedic Research and Education Foundation and the Foundation for Hearing and Speech Rehabilitation, is a former Vice Chair of the Arthritis Foundation national board, and remains an active member of the investment committees of all three organizations. He is also a former Trustee and Chair of the Governing Members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association.
Mark is a Principal of Gofen and Glossberg and has been the firm’s General Counsel since 1999. Mark received his B.B.A. from the University of Texas and a J.D. from Southern Methodist University. He has been a member of the Texas Bar since 1991. Prior to joining Gofen and Glossberg, Mark was Associate General Counsel at U.S. Global Investors and Compliance Officer at Phoenix Duff & Phelps. Mark has been a frequent speaker on various securities law topics.
Mary Pat is a Principal of Gofen and Glossberg and has been with the firm since 2004. She received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an M.B.A. from Loyola University Chicago. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Before coming to Gofen and Glossberg, Mary Pat was a Senior Analyst at Zurich Scudder Investments. She is a member of the American Cancer Society Women's Leadership Circle.
Molly is a Principal of Gofen and Glossberg and joined the firm in 2021. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. She received her B.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Prior to joining Gofen and Glossberg, Molly was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Northern Trust and a Portfolio Manager at UBS O’Connor. Molly is a past Advisory Council member for the Maryville Crisis Nursery and former Riverside Arts Center Board member. She is a Big Shoulders Fund volunteer and Chairmen’s Advisory Council member.
Cheryl joined Gofen and Glossberg as a Fixed Income Trader in 2006. She received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to joining Gofen and Glossberg, Cheryl was a Bond Trader and Portfolio Manager for Cargill, Inc., the Chicago Board of Education, and UBS Global Asset Management. She currently serves on the Chicago Board of Directors of Camp Kesem.
Scott is a Principal of Gofen and Glossberg and has been with the firm since 2011. He received a B.A. from Columbia University and an M.B.A from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He holds the Charted Financial Analyst designation. Scott currently serves on the Board of Directors of Anshe Emet Synagogue and the Judd Goldman Adaptive Sailing Foundation and is a member of the Endowment Committee for the Jewish Council for Youth Services.
Joe is a Principal of Gofen and Glossberg and has been with the firm since 1965. He received a B.S. in Economics as well as an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Joe holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Investment Counselor designations. He has served as a Trustee and member of the Endowment Board of the University of Pennsylvania and a member of the Investment Adviser Association's Board of Governors. Joe serves on the Board of Trustees of Knox College as Chief Investment Officer of the endowment and is a Life Trustee of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
Charlie is a Principal of Gofen and Glossberg and has been with the firm since 1992. He received a B.A. from Stanford University and a Master’s of Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and
Chartered Investment Counselor designations. Charlie serves on several nonprofit boards and is the immediate past Board Chair at Children’s Home and Aid and a former Board Chair at the Latin School of Chicago.
Bill is an Investment Advisor at Gofen and Glossberg and has been with the firm since 1956. He received a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. He holds the Chartered Investment Counselor designation. Bill was the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Spertus College, a Trustee of the State of Illinois Retirement System, and Chairman of the Advisory Council of DePaul University’s College of Commerce.
Mark is a Principal of Gofen and Glossberg and has been with the firm since 1971. He received a B.S. from the University of Illinois at Chicago and an M.B.A. from DePaul University. He holds the Chartered Financial
Analyst and Chartered Investment Counselor designations. Mark is a past board member and a Director for Life of the Jewish Council for Youth Services.
Deborah joined Gofen and Glossberg as Director of Human Resources in 1994. She received a B.S. Education degree in History and M.S. Education degree in Counseling Psychology from Northern Illinois University. Prior to joining Gofen and Glossberg, Deborah directed the human resource function for ENSR Consulting and Engineering, Inc., and the Louis Zahn Drug Company.
Julie is an Associate Investment Advisor at Gofen and Glossberg and joined the firm in 2021. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and received a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. Prior to joining Gofen and Glossberg, Julie was a Principal on the Absolute Return Strategies Portfolio Management team at GCM Grosvenor.
Peter is a Principal of Gofen and Glossberg and has been with the firm since 1992. He received a B.A. from Grinnell College and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. Peter serves on the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago’s Investment Advisory Council. He is a non-attorney member of the Hearing Board of the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois. Peter also serves on several nonprofit boards and is a director of the Western Golf Association, which administers the Evans Scholars Foundation.
John is a Principal of Gofen and Glossberg and has been with the firm since 1989. He received a B.A. from the University of Colorado and an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina. John is a past member of the Chicago Executive Board of the American Jewish Committee and has served two terms as a member of the President’s Commission of Wheaton College in Norton, MA. He currently serves as a member of the finance committee of the Island Heritage Trust in Deer Isle, ME.
John is a Principal of Gofen and Glossberg and has been with the firm since 2014. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has passed the Certified Public Accountant examination. He graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a B.S.
in Accounting. Prior to joining Gofen and Glossberg, John was a Vice President at GSV Ventures and a Senior Analyst with Vestor Capital. John currently serves on the Board of Honor Flight Chicago.
Dan is a Principal of Gofen and Glossberg and has been with the firm since 1978. He received a B.A. from DePaul University and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Dan acts as the firm’s representative to the Investment Adviser Association and also serves on the Finance Advisory Board of DePaul University.
Michael is a Principal of Gofen and Glossberg and has been with the firm since 2000, serving as Director of Research. He received a B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Prior to joining Gofen and Glossberg, Michael was
a Senior Analyst at Mississippi Valley Advisors and an Associate Portfolio
Manager at Robert W. Baird & Co. He is a director of The Family Institute at Northwestern University.
Jonathan is a Principal of Gofen and Glossberg and has been with the firm since 2007. He received a B.A. from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Jonathan serves as a trustee for the Village of Glencoe and is Chairman of the Village Finance Committee. He is also a member of the JDRF Illinois Board of Directors. Prior to joining Gofen and Glossberg, Jonathan was a Portfolio Manager with Northern Trust Company.
Alex is a Principal of Gofen and Glossberg and has been with the firm since 2006, serving as Chief Information Officer. He received a B.A. from Beijing Normal University in Beijing, China, and a Master’s of Mathematics and a Master’s of Computer Science from Northern Illinois University. Prior to joining Gofen and Glossberg, Alex was in charge of IT at Cupps Capital Management.
